Our mission is to give the knowledge of Buddhist culture and the Sinhala language to children and adults. We conduct meditation classes and Dhamma discussions to help people lead wholesome lives.

About the temple
North Carolina Buddhist Viharaya was started in March 2006. The property was partially donated by Mrs. Shanthi Wijay in memory of her parents Mr & Mrs. Shelton P. Jayasinghe.
Temple is dedicated to teaching Buddhist culture and Sinhalese language under the guidance of Ven. Yatiiyana Wajirapala Thero.
